Crimsafe has designed and tested its security screens to meet the highest levels of protection in the event of a bushfire.
Crimsafe’s Tensile-Tuff® stainless steel mesh is specially designed to a size and shape (1.5mm x 1.5mm aperture) that meets the requirements of the Australian Standard (AS 3959-2009) for the construction of homes in bushfire prone areas.

When used with a compliant window system, Crimsafe screens provide excellent protection from ember attack, reduce radiant heat and protect glass from the impact of burning debris in all Bushfire Attack Levels up to and including the most severe, BAL-FZ.

Screw-Clamp™ Technology

Crimsafe's Screw-Clamp™ Technology secures the Tensile-Tuff mesh to the frame using tamper-resistant screws and clamps to form a vice-like grip.  This reinforces the screens with exceptional strength and allows Crimsafe Security screens to withstand tremendous force by absorbing and dispersing  any impact around the frame. 

Tensile-Tuff® stainless steel mesh

Crimsafe's Tensile-Tuff woven mesh uses 0.9mm 304 structural grade stainless steel.  This makes the screens much harder to cut and penetrate.  It is 26.5% thicker than standard stainless steel mesh screens.
